Bisnis, JAKARTA – Prabowo Subianto's government will confront a challenging task in its inaugural year. The targeted tax ratio aims to surpass 11%, a milestone never reached during President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo's tenure.
This goal was unveiled by the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), which aims for a state income to gross domestic product (GDP) ratio, or tax ratio, of 11.2-12% by 2025.
In the initial draft document for the government's 2025 work plan (RKP), Bappenas has set the macroeconomic framework (KEM) for the first year of Prabowo Subianto's new administration, including the tax ratio.
This target represents a significant increase compared to the realization in 2023, which stood at 10.21%, with this year's target ranging around 10.2%.
