The Chairman's Statement of the 42nd Asean Summit, which took place on May 10-11, 2023 in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, also highlighted said strategies.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo announced three key outcomes of the 42nd Asean Summit, according to an official statement released on Thursday, May 11. The first outcome pertains to prioritizing the welfare of the people, such as safeguarding migrant workers and preventing human trafficking. The second outcome involves promoting the resolution of the Myanmar conflict.
The third is strengthening economic cooperation. According to Jokowi, Asean leaders agreed to build an electric car ecosystem, as well as become an important part of the world's supply chain.
