Bisnis, JAKARTA — The Indonesia Central Securities Depository (KSEI) recorded 12.63 million investors in Indonesia as of March 2024 or throughout the first quarter, marking a 3.81 percent growth from the end of 2023.
According to latest KSEI data, the number of investors in the capital market in March grew by 1.26 percent month-to-month (MtM), slightly upward from February’s 1.20 percent growth.
11.88 million of mutual fund investors were recorded as of March compared to 11.41 million investors at the end of last year. Meanwhile, bond investors were recorded at 1.05 million, and investors in stocks and other securities were recorded at 5.53 million.
The capital market is likewise seeing an uptrend in investors, reaching 12.59 million as of March compared to 12.43 million last February. Retail investors take up a largest share compared to corporate investors, mutual funds, pension funds, financial institutions, insurance, and securities.
