Bisnis, JAKARTA —The Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (Jabodebek) Light Rail Transit (LRT) has directly impacted demand for properties located along its route, particularly in the eastern and southern corridors of Jakarta.
This has boosted demand for properties in proximity to public transportation. Residences within a radius of up to 800 meters from transportation access become a choice for urban residents prioritizing easy mobility to the city center.
According to the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Regulation Number 16 of 2017 concerning Guidelines for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), the ideal concept is within a range of 400 to 800 meters from the public mass transit nodes.
Marine Novita, Country Manager of Rumah.com, said infrastructure projects such as transportation would attract customers, especially public transportation that connects residential areas to the city center; hence, the Jabodebek LRT is a boon for residential areas intersected by its routes.
