Bisnis, JAKARTA – The business community's endeavors to achieve Net Zero Carbon (NZC) are catalyzing an ambitious portfolio decarbonization strategy for building users across the Asia Pacific region.

Consequently, there will emerge a disparity between the supply and demand for sustainable buildings in the area. This gap is poised to fuel fierce competition among occupiers seeking low-carbon office spaces in the forthcoming years leading up to 2030.

Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Research at JLL Asia Pacific Kamya Miglani highlighted that 87% of building users surveyed in the region aspire to have a portfolio that is 100% green certified by 2030.

This aspiration is particularly pronounced in countries like India, Malaysia, and Thailand, where over 95% of occupiers aim for a fully green-certified portfolio.
