Bisnis, JAKARTA — According to the macroeconomic and fiscal framework document or KEM-PPKF presented by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, next year’s allocation of social budget reaches a record-high of IDR513 trillion, even surpassing 2020’s IDR498 trillion budget during the pandemic.
The finance minister said this budget will be used to maintain public purchasing power, sustain economic growth, and accommodate president-elect Prabowo Subianto’s planned social programs such as free lunches at schools.
This is outside of plans to use the state budget for investments in the new capital city, Nusantara (IKN), amounting to IDR16 trillion annually for the next 30 years.
The KEM-PPKF, which will be the groundwork for formulating the 2025 state budget, projects a fiscal deficit of 2.45-2.82 percent.
