Bisnis, JAKARTA - The state-owned airline, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., plans to add eight aircraft as part of the company's expansion this year. The additions include 4 Boeing B737-800 NG aircraft, 2 Airbus A330-300 aircraft, and 2 Boeing B777-300 ER aircraft.
President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setiaputra emphasized that the security and safety of the Boeing aircraft ordered by the company will be fulfilled optimally. This is because the aircraft ordered are not the latest releases like the Boeing 737 Max. "It's safe, the plane we ordered is not the new model," Irfan confirmed on Monday (10/6/2024).
Garuda Indonesia currently operates several variants of Boeing aircraft, including the 777-300ER and 737-800 NG.
The company is committed to ensuring that the entire aircraft fleet, both existing and future additions, adheres to the safety and security standards set by the government.
