Bisnis, JAKARTA - The rise of the staycation trend, as highlighted by Public Relations Sr. Manager at tiket.com Sandra Darmosumarto, indicates growth in the hospitality industry.

In 2024, Sandra anticipates that accommodation growth will continue, bolstered by long holidays and collective leave periods at the beginning of the year, which are expected to drive up hotel occupancy rates.

Citing a report from PHRI, hotel occupancy surged by 80% in various tourist destinations like Pekanbaru, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Banyuwangi, and Bali ahead of the long holiday in February.

Sandra also noted that this increase was seen on tiket.com, where accommodation bookings saw a 24% rise in the January-February 2024 period compared to the same period in 2023.
