Bisnis, JAKARTA — The revision of the IKN Law is pressing due to the need for land acquisition that may hinder the development of IKN.
Ida Bagus Nyoman Wiswantanu, Head of the Legal and Compliance Unit of the Nusantara National Capital Authority (NNCA), revealed that land acquisition progress in IKN is still facing headwinds.
Bagus further explained that the implementation of Law No. 3/2022, or IKN Law, is noted to have several issues related to core tasks and functions and sectoral authorities that limit maneuverability in the preparation and development of IKN phase one.
“A strong foundation is needed to ensure that the development process can be agile and effective, such as in land acquisition, where there are many obstacles due to sectoral laws,” said Ida Bagus Nyoman Wiswantanu in a written statement, quoted on Monday (8/19/2023).
