Bisnis, JAKARTA -- The objective of increasing oil and gas production in Indonesia is facing a reduction due to the absence of new on-stream fields planned for the upcoming year.
As a result, there is a pressing need to expedite field development efforts in order to mitigate the potential decline in the oil and gas lifting in the foreseeable future.
The statement was conveyed by Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) on Wednesday (23/8).
Deputy Head of SKK Migas Nanang Abdul Manaf explained that the revised oil and gas lifting targets for 2024, as outlined in the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN), reflect the lack of commercially operational projects slated for 2024.
