Bisnis, JAKARTA – Public activities surrounding I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali, boomed on Thursday afternoon (5/1/2023), and for good reason. Right at 16.35 Central Indonesian Time (WITA), the largest passenger airline in the world landed at the airport for the first time in Indonesia.
Emirates Airlines operated Airbus A380-800 bringing hundreds of tourists from Dubai to Indonesia. No less than 482 passengers out of 850 available seats took part in the inaugural flight.
The airport operator, PT Angkasa Pura I, gave a water salute to commemorate Emirates’ flight EK369. Several disembarking passengers were given flower necklaces as a welcoming gift.
Emirates airline’s direct flight from Dubai to Denpasar utilizing wide-bodied aircraft signifies the revitalization of the aviation sector, which is also apparent in the growth of tourist visits throughout 2023.
