Bisnis, JAKARTA - Goldman Sachs strategy experts project the Fed to not raise interest rates on October 31—November 1, 2023.

Quoting Reuters on Monday (18/9/2023), Goldman Sachs stated that positive economic indicators would likely convince the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) not to raise rates.

“On November, we think that further labor market rebalancing, better news on inflation, and the likely upcoming Q4 growth pothole will convince more participants that the FOMC can forgo a final hike this year, as we think it ultimately will,” the experts wrote in their report.

The strategy experts also anticipate the Fed's “dot plot” – which reflects the Fed's rate projections – to indicate one more hike if only to maintain flexibility for the time being.
