Bisnis, JAKARTA — In a bid to spur exports of MSME products to Australia, the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Canberra, in collaboration with the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Agency of Yogyakarta, has launched a program offering free shipping to the Land Down Under.

Free shipping of MSME products to Australia is part of a worldwide fee exemption program, which was launched in Yogyakarta on Thursday (22/2/2024). The launch took place after a Trade Ministry working meeting in Semarang the day before.

Agung Haris Setiawan, the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Canberra, said this program is a continuation of the cooperation between the Ministry of Trade and the Cooperatives and SMEs Agency in Yogyakarta, which began in 2023.

"This program is expected to be a means of increasing the export of MSME products abroad, starting from Australia. We highly appreciate the Cooperatives and SMEs Agency of Yogyakarta for officially launching the free shipping program today," said Agung Haris.
